Bungee Ball – Sunday 13th February 2011

As Abstract are great believers in giving something back to the community, we decided to do a sponsored bungee jump for The Christie New Patient Treatment Centre and Doctor Joe Jaffe Hospital Support Charity. Both these charities are helping to make a future without Cancer. So two of our dare devil team members, Dawn Clayton and Amy Morris, bravely stepped up for the hair raising challenge of being ejected 250 ft into the air, raising £168…..Well done girls

 Stroke Society - Charity Event

Abseil – 1 November 2010

Toni Caroline, Nat, Becky Lou, and Debbie and dawn all took part in an abseil down the famous cunnard buildings in Liverpool. It was a hair raising event in wet and windy conditions but we all braved it and completed it in one piece. We raised £800 for the stroke society and were very proud. Toni Martin said” we want to thank all of the clients that sponsored us there generosity is greatly appreciated. it was extremely scaring being up there in such bad weather but im glad that we did and raised so much for a good course”.

Abstract Hair Attended the Paul Mitchell Artistic show on the 4th – 5th October 2009 Birmingham U.K. Our team participated within the highly creative hair show, enjoyed the fabulous hair creation and colour shows.

Wirral Star Employee Award

Wirral stars awards  was held at Thornton Hall Hotel and Abstract won their category for  employee of year  for the apprentice category.– the second wirral star employer awards paid tribute to companies who have helped young people across the borough prepare  for  world  of work 22^nd of April . Phil Davies wirral council for children’s services and live long learning said the star award are a way of thanking those fantastic  employers who really make a difference within the community by supporting young people unfortunately we cant make everyone a winner. Creating work positions for young people, taking them on as apprentices or trainees, or simply giving someone valuable work experience can mean so much. It really does change people’s lives.

 Toni and Kerry Martin were delighted to receive the award and it was a tribute to the commitment and dedication that they put into all of their employees. Kerry said” we acknowledge that all our young staff are our future professionals and we are responsible for making their transaction into the adult world of work as smooth and as enjoyable as possible. It is our responsibility to nurture and support them so that they can be the best that they possibly can be. We are very proud of our future stars.”

Women in business: Women in business are a member of PROWESS which is the UK wide trade association for the promotion of women’s enterprise support. The vision is to create an environment were equal numbers of women and men are starting and growing there business.

Toni Ann Martin was nominated for business women of the year 2008 for women in business and was a finalist. Toni said” this was a great honour and surprise. It was wonderful to be a finalist in the women in business awards. What made it so fantastic was that the nominations were from the members them selves. It is lovely to be recognized by other business women who understand the commitment and dedication that is needed to continually grow and develop your business. I was delighted.”

• Standby appointments can only be made 90 minutes before arriving on that day or one hour before closing for the evening for the early bird appointment (before 10.30am).
• Prices are set on the day and vary accoding to how many appointments are available. No Consultant requests can be made on a standby appointment. The Consultant will introduce themselves when you arrive.
• The price will be quoted to you on booking and will vary from each standby appointment.

Fashion Shows – 2011

Press Release for Radio City Cash for Kids – 12pm-4pm – Thursday 24th March 2011

“Chellew Productions hosted a Ladies Day at Palm Sugar in Liverpool One
and raised over £2000 in support of their chosen charity Cash For
Kids. The event was hosted by Pete Price and ladies were treated to a
Races themed day in preparation for Ladies Day and the Grand National
at Aintree Racecourse.

It was a fun filled day with catwalk shows by KU, Mark Melia and The
Dressing Room with shoes by office, Hair by Abstract Hair and make up
by Dollyface and Artdeco. Showcases by Rosie Olivier Millinery, The
Sweetie Factory, Tracey Bell & Mezzola Jewellery. Demonstrations by
Artdeco make up, Yaffe Fusion Art and Blankstone Opticians plus
betting tips from William Hill. Entertainment was provided by comic
Sam Carlson and singer Chris Jones with physic readings by James
Griffiths, whilst Liverpool Audi showcased the new A3 & A5 Cabriolets
on Chavasse Park.

Cash For Kids delivers initiatives for sick and underprivileged
children in our communities, benefiting local children and giving the
needier a better and brighter future.

Abstract Hair team participated in yet another fantastic fashion show for Cello Boutique and Flashback at Circo in Liverpool, 1st July. The fashion show all being for charity – Claire House was the chosen charity. Abstract were proud to do the hair for all the models.

Fashion Shows – 2009

We regularly participate in fashions shows, such as the seasonal Fashion Show hosted by Cello Boutique. We apply models’ make-up, including celebrity models such as members from the cast of Hollyoaks and style all the models’ hair. Each fashion show has a theme where by our team have to use the creative skills. All our fashion shows are for charity.

August 2009 – The Fashion Show was for charity, the NSPCC – The theme was ….. and the charity was the NSPCC.
