 Stroke Society - Charity Event

Abseil 1 November

Toni Caroline, Nat, Becky Lou, and Debbie and dawn all took part in an abseil down the famous cunnard buildings in Liverpool. It was a hair raising event in wet and windy conditions but we all braved it and completed it in one piece. We raised £800 for the stroke society and were very proud. Toni Martin said” we want to thank all of the clients that sponsored us there generosity is greatly appreciated. it was extremely scaring being up there in such bad weather but im glad that we did and raised so much for a good course”.

Abstract Hair Attended the Paul Mitchell Artistic show on the 4th – 5th October 2009 Birmingham U.K. Our team participated within the highly creative hair show, enjoyed the fabulous hair creation and colour shows.

We offer all aspects of Hair, Beauty and Holistic Therapies and have twice been awarded Salon of Excellence Awards for the North of England.

Wirral Star Employee Award

Wirral stars awards  was held at Thornton Hall Hotel and Abstract won their category for  employee of year  for the apprentice category.– the second wirral star employer awards paid tribute to companies who have helped young people across the borough prepare  for  world  of work 22^nd of April . Phil Davies wirral council for children’s services and live long learning said the star award are a way of thanking those fantastic  employers who really make a difference within the community by supporting young people unfortunately we cant make everyone a winner. Creating work positions for young people, taking them on as apprentices or trainees, or simply giving someone valuable work experience can mean so much. It really does change people’s lives.

 Toni and Kerry Martin were delighted to receive the award and it was a tribute to the commitment and dedication that they put into all of their employees. Kerry said” we acknowledge that all our young staff are our future professionals and we are responsible for making their transaction into the adult world of work as smooth and as enjoyable as possible. It is our responsibility to nurture and support them so that they can be the best that they possibly can be. We are very proud of our future stars.”

 Women In Business (NW) Awards 2008

Women in business: Women in business are a member of PROWESS which is the UK wide trade association for the promotion of women’s enterprise support. The vision is to create an environment were equal numbers of women and men are starting and growing there business.

Toni Ann Martin was nominated for business women of the year 2008 for women in business and was a finalist. Toni said” this was a great honour and surprise. It was wonderful to be a finalist in the women in business awards. What made it so fantastic was that the nominations were from the members them selves. It is lovely to be recognized by other business women who understand the commitment and dedication that is needed to continually grow and develop your business. I was delighted.”
